UKIP CHAOS: leader vows to fight on
The Leader of UKIP, Henry Bolton, has state his intention to keep going in an interview on national television. This comes after the ruling body of UKIP passed a motion of “No Confidence” in his leadership.
Since the vote to leave the European Union on the 23rd of June UKIP has struggled to find a place for itself and has been through many Leaders since Nigel Farage stepped down.
Most of the leaders since have stood firmly in Nigel’s shadow and he is a towering figure over the party, but he has ruled himself out of returning to leadership.
A variety of senior figures within the party have tendered their resignations over the last few days and more are expected to come. Many commentators have said they feel that the end may be coming for a party that once polled 6 million votes at the 2015 General Election.
Henry Bolton faces a vote from the membership as to whether he will continue as leader, but wider questions remain about the future of UKIP.
